Farma of Rhodes Supports Kalithea Cats
Farma of Rhodes Stands by Local Initiatives
At Farma of Rhodes, we promote respect and proper care for all animals, as we believe their wellbeing is a shared responsibility. For this reason, we took the initiative to support Kallithea Cats, helping cover essential needs that arise from the daily care of stray cats in the Kallithea area.
The Work of Kalithea Cats
Kalithea Cats is a volunteer-based, non-profit organization operating in Kalithea, Rhodes, with a primary mission to care for, treat, and protect stray cats.
The volunteers take on daily responsibilities such as:
• food and clean water,
• veterinary care and parasite treatments,
• sterilization and population control,
• temporary shelter and socialization for adoption.
Their work is continuous and demanding and very crucial for the well-being of stray cats.
How Farma of Rhodes Contributed
Farma of Rhodes proceeded with a donation of equipment and essential supplies to Kalithea Cats, contributing meaningfully to the coverage of the animals basic needs.
The support included:
• warm and comfortable cat beds,
• blankets and winter sleeping spots,
• an additional cage for new arrivals,
• litter boxes and food bowls,
• high-quality kitten food,
• medical supplies (such as deworming treatments and nutritional supplements),
• enrichment equipment and toys, including a large cat tree.

This initiative strengthened the daily operation of the organization, offering improved living conditions and care for the cats under its protection.

The Result of the Support on Kalithea Cats
The thank you post shared by Kalithea Cats highlights the importance of cooperation between local businesses and volunteer organizations. With the contribution from Farma of Rhodes, the association was able to cover several essential needs and prepare better for the winter season.
The impact was immediate, enabling the volunteers to provide improved care and living conditions for the cats in their care.

Support Is Still Needed
The support offered to Kalithea Cats addressed the needs of a specific period and is a part of the Corporate Social Responsibility actions of Farma of Rhodes. However, it does not resolve the broader challenge of caring for stray cats that volunteers face every day. Ongoing needs remain in food, medical supplies and equipment.
For this reason, anyone who wishes to support the association can find information on how to contribute through the official Kalithea Cats page.
Below you can find the association’s thank-you letter.
