Meet the Porcupine
Porcupines are species of rodent in the hystricidae family. It can be found in Italy, Sicily, North Africa and Tanzania. They are highly adaptable animals, able to live in forests, mountains, rocky areas and even in deserts.
Nearly all of their body is covered with dark brown or sometimes black bristles. Their main characteristic is the quills that appear along the head, nape, back and crest.
Porcupines live in small family groups and their social life is based on monogamy. Porcupine is a herbivore animal that eats roots, tubers, rhizomes, bulbs and fallen fruits.
