Have you ever met a raccoon before?
The raccoons are carnivore mammals, part of the procyonid family and natives of North America.
Their genre includes seven species, the most widespread of which is the “Procyon lotor”. This animal is of medium size and has a stocky body of 60-100 cm long. The 20-40 cm of them belong to the tail.
The Raccoons’ body is covered with a long and thick brown fur. They also have a bushy tail and short legs, with five fingers each.
They are very good swimmers, able climbers and live mostly in smalls herds in dense forests. Their food consists mainly of rodents, reptiles, amphibians, fishes, birds and eggs.
