Llamas appeared in North America 40 million years ago and then moved to Peru and Bolivia. They are a far relative of camels, live for about 15-25 years and can weigh more than 190 kg. They are very strong animals that do not need much water and became very popular for hikers in South America. A very popular myth that many of our visitors believe, is that llamas are going to spit on them, which is never the case as they are very friendly and quiet.
Ponies are small-sized horses that are very intelligent and stronger pound for pound compared to horses. In many countries they are utilized as work animals and carriers. Their power is so high that they can even be ridden by adults for short distances.
Another far relative of ponies and horses in general are donkies. They are very strong spirited and are the animal with the greatest calmness traits, which remain quiet no matter how they feel inside. They have a very loud voice which can be heard from a long distance and love carrots as well as being petted to their neck.
